This is the list of changes for release 2.0.10 of Zap Calendar, scheduled for release at the end of March.
Highlights of this Release
Meta description and keywords are now included with an event page. This information is used by search engines when indexing a site. It is also used by the Facebook share link.
The iCal import and subscribe features have been enhanced to recognize Daylight Savings Time (DST) when importing/syncing events that are in universal time.
Improved back-end features, including new quick add feature for creating calendar views and Zap Calendar modules.
New Plugins - two new plugins are included in this release for both standard and Pro versions. The Google Weather plugin provides weather forecast icons in the calendar. This is similar to the Z Weather plugin, however, unlike the Z Weather plugin, the Google Weather plugin provides weather forecasts for locations around the world. The More Info plugin provides the ability to add more fields to an event. The plugin initially comes with contact name, phone # and e-mail fields, but additional fields can be added.
Plugin Enhancements - The RSVP plugin has several new features, including: reminder e-mail option reminder e-mail feature when event is approaching; an automatic e-mail sent to RSVP attendee when event is updated, moved or cancelled; customizable data like # of guests, food items to bring and comments; export in CSV and Excel (including export of customizable data). The Z Weather plugin now shows a popup window of the day's forecast when hovering over the weather icon in the calendar. The JomSocial plugin now recognizes when events are created and deleted with wall postings and point assignment.
