I updated to the latest version today to address the feed issue. Once I did so, I noticed the text for the alert is cut off. We're currently under a winter weather advisory, and this is all it has on the pop-up window:

Severe Weather Alert Print

Winter Weather Advisory
.LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA WILL MOVE RAPIDLY SOUTHEAST THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THIS DISTURBANCE WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A COLD FRONT WHICH WILL PRODUCE GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS. AS NORTHERLY WINDS INCREASE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS

And that's where it cuts off. The entire advisory should be:

.LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA WILL MOVE RAPIDLY
SOUTHEAST THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THIS DISTURBANCE WILL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY A COLD FRONT WHICH WILL PRODUCE GUSTY NORTHERLY
WINDS. AS NORTHERLY WINDS INCREASE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL
DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

950 AM CST MON JAN 17 2011

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 9 PM CST THIS EVENING...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 9 PM CST THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...BLOWING SNOW WILL DEVELOP FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A
COLD FRONT THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL SLOWLY DECREASE
TONIGHT... BRINGING AN END TO THE BLOWING SNOW THREAT.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL
DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON. THESE WINDS WILL PRODUCE AREAS OF
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO 1/2 MILE IN
OPEN AREAS AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks.

Z Weather should not be truncating this, but check the alert XML file in the back-end to see if the complete text is there, since that is where Z Weather pulls it from. Go to the location manager and click on the icon for the alert text.

If you can give me your alert location code I can check it.

Zone is IAZ003

It's also cut off in the XML file as well.

Thanks for your help.

It looks like the new alert feed from the NWS contains a summary, not the full description. I just uploaded version 6.0.3.2, which includes a "Details" link to get the full description from the NWS. I don't see a way to get it to work like it did with the previous alert feeds.

Thanks! I downloaded it and it works just fine with that link added.

I, too, am experiencing this problem. The "details" link does appear and works, but I'd sure like to have it the previous way that displayed the entire Alert Message on my web page.
The NWS has a ton of coding details on their site that might be applied to reveal the entire Alert Messages, but the info is much more than I can deal with. If there are any solutions, I'd certainly like to hear them.
