I rebuilt php with libexpat, and let that handle parsing.

I don't have control of rebuilding PHP as this is a rented shared server.

It has libxml 2.7.2, which is newer than the reported 2.7.1 issue. I'll have to ask my web server provider to look into it further.

It's still a problem as of now - here's the PHP bugtracker for it, but be aware that the bug is in libxml, not PHP, so they are waiting on libxml.

Thanks for the link. I tested and confirmed with their sample code that this is the issue I'm having also.

I disabled zweather until this is fixed.

I don't see this bug listed in the bug tracker used by the libxml2 developer:

I do see that the developer has replied to the original bug report. So I hope this will be addressed soon.

My web host won't change libxml2 until this comes from the offical sources. So I'm left without ZWeather for now.

Hmmm... with more searching and as previously reported, perhaps the issue is with libexpat.

Seems this has been causing issues with wordpress also. I guess any code that uses libxml2 with php.
