First off thank you for such a great extension!

We use zWeather to monitor the sites of multiple clients weather at once. I can't get the Severe weather to show up. I have it set to show in the settings and the Zones are correct. But on the NOAA site it shows weather events but not inside of zWeather.

I've reinstalled and worked on it extensively to no avail.
How long have you been experiencing this issue and had you made any changes to your website just prior to the start of the issue?

Make sure you are running version 6.0.3 of Z Weather, which supports the newer alert feeds from the NWS.

Was having the same problem, seeing the "Bad Alert XML file (parseXML)" error with debug on.

XML for my zone (CAZ064) on the NWS server (www.weather.gov/alerts-beta/) looked OK.

Don't know if this is the correct fix or not, but changing zweather.class.php to pull the alert XML from a different location seems to get it working.

Changed $host and $url to 'alerts.weather.gov' and $datafile to '/cap/wwaatmget.php?x='.

Think maybe they're still changing things at NWS.

I finally got my problem fixed. The NWS had changed the state's designations from MSZ to MSC - for reasons I'm sure only they are aware of. I made that change and still had issues but implemented the code changes in the previous post and my alerts are once again functioning correctly.
