If you are upgrading Zap Calendar from a previous release, follow these instructions for a smooth install. Step 1: Backup your site and MySQL databaseBackup your site to ensure you can return to your site's previous state just in case something goes wrong during the upgrade. Step 2: Re-Install the Zap Calendar ComponentFor upgrading to version 2.0.7 or higher: Zap Calendar upgrades have become a whole lot easier. Starting with version 2.0.7, all plugins, modules and component are Joomla upgradeable. This means you can re-install any of these items without first uninstalling them from Joomla. In other words, plugin settings, custom templates and added category icons are all retained during the upgrade process. Beware if you have modified an existing theme in Zap Calendar, it will be replaced by the upgrade. If you plan on customizing an existing theme, you should copy it first to a new folder so the theme will not be overwritten by future installs. For upgrading to a version prior to 2.0.7: Alternatively, you can uninstall the Zap Calendar component without losing any event data. However, you will lose any theme changes and Zap Calendar's global settings. Use these steps to install the component:
Step 3: Re-Install Zap Calendar ModulesFor upgrading to version 2.0.7 or higher: Re-install the modules without first uninstalling them. This will retain the module settings. For upgrading to a version prior to 2.0.7: Any global module settings will be lost after an upgrade. Repeat these steps for each module:
Step 4: Re-Install Zap Calendar PluginsFor upgrading to version 2.0.7 or higher: Re-install the plugins without first uninstalling them. This will retain the plugin settings. For upgrading to a version prior to 2.0.7:Any global plugin settings will be lost after an upgrade. Repeat these steps for each plugin:
