Zap Calendar will definitely save you a lot of time from your current method of importing events. The lite version does not support importing ics files, however, all other version support it (basic, standard and pro).
The Pro version includes the ical sync plugin, which will automatically update the Outlook events into Zap Calendar. More info is here:

Zap Calendar supports Outlook's time zones. Zap Calendar converts the Outlook time zone to the appropriate PHP standard time zones when importing the events. If there is a time zone that Zap Calendar does not recognize, an alias file can be edited to map unknown time zones to the appropriate PHP supported time zones.
