Hi folks,

The workshop coordinator at my business uses a calendar in Outlook 2013 that is exported to Publisher and a .ics for web calendar import.
With JEvents, she has to create a *new* calendar every month for the month's events, delete the old one, and set it as default.
I downloaded Zap Calendar Lite and did not find an Import feature/settings in the backend.
  • Which version, if any, of Zap Calendar allows us to import .ics files?
  • Which version allows us to import as a means of updating an existing calendar, not just to create a new calendar?
  • Will there be issues with Outlook's time zones and how can we work around them? (Outlook uses "GMT-5 Eastern Standard Time", Zap looks like it uses "America/New York"

Thank you for your assistance!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in responding, your message was posted to the wrong forum. I have moved it to Zap Calendar Pre-Sales Questions forum.

Zap Calendar will definitely save you a lot of time from your current method of importing events. The lite version does not support importing ics files, however, all other version support it (basic, standard and pro).

The Pro version includes the ical sync plugin, which will automatically update the Outlook events into Zap Calendar. More info is here:

Here is some specific info on Outlook:

zcontent.net/support/zapcalendar/79-usin...ok-with-zap-calendar

Zap Calendar supports Outlook's time zones. Zap Calendar converts the Outlook time zone to the appropriate PHP standard time zones when importing the events. If there is a time zone that Zap Calendar does not recognize, an alias file can be edited to map unknown time zones to the appropriate PHP supported time zones.

There is a 30 day refund policy that allows you to try Zap Calendar in your environment risk free.
