In a notebook with small wide screen, the top and bottom parts of the more information event light view are out of screen. You can scroll up/down but some parts are not accessible and it's not possible to close the window.

What screen resolution are you referring to with a small wide screen? The window size if hardcoded, but I didn't think it was very big. A couple of ideas: For the view used for the display, use "same window" instead of "modal window". You can typically click anywhere outside the lightbox window to close it.
